A Brampton male was arrested Thursday as part of an ongoing Guelph Police Service investigation into robberies involving items listed for sale online.
Police have been investigating several reports of items being stolen using violence or threats by persons responding to advertisements on popular buying and selling websites. At least one of these incidents allegedly involved the use of a firearm.
A 20-year-old Brampton man was arrested Thursday and is charged with robbery with a firearm, robbery, possessing stolen property over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, trafficking in stolen property and possessing a controlled substance. He was held for a bail hearing Friday.
