Police say an argument between a passenger and bus driver led to an arrest Tuesday night.
Approximately 8:50 p.m., Guelph police were dispatched to the downtown transit terminal where a male passenger was involved in a verbal altercation with a driver. Officers arrived and found the man still sitting inside the bus.
Investigation revealed he is on bail with a condition requiring him to be in his residence between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. Police learned the male has not resided at the address on file for more than a month and he was arrested for breaching his bail condition.
During a search incident to arrest, officers located a 20-centimetre kitchen knife inside a sheath in the man's sock.
A 52-year-old Guelph man is charged with breaching a bail condition and carrying a concealed weapon. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
