On Thursday at 10:11 p.m., Guelph police were notified by a concerned citizen of a possibly impaired adult male driving a motor vehicle in the area of Silvercreek Parkway North and Speedvale Avenue West.
At 10:19 p.m., police located the male near the intersection of Stevenson Street North and Speedvale Avenue East. After speaking with him, officers demanded that he participate in a roadside test by providing a breath sample into an Approved Screening Device. The male refused and he was subsequently arrested.
A 34 year old Guelph male has been charged with refusal to comply with demand.
His driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
He will appear in court Nov. 5.
