Man charged with impaired driving after stalling right turn on a red light

A roadside test was conducted on the driver and the approved screening device registered a fail

On Saturday June 8, 2019 at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers observed a vehicle leaving an adult establishment in the area of Silvercreek Parkway South. 

This vehicle was stopped at a red light with its right turn blinker activated and there were no other vehicles in the area. The vehicle remained stopped for approximately one minute before executing a right turn. 

Officers conducted a traffic stop for the purpose of a sobriety check.

A roadside test was conducted on the driver and the approved screening device registered a fail. The 27-year-old Kitchener male was arrested for Impaired Operation. He was subsequently released on a promise to appear with a court date of June 21, 2019.
