Man charged with trashing his residence

A Guelph male faces charges after causing more than $5,000 in damage to his residence, report Guelph police.

On Tuesday afternoon, police were called to a supportive housing residence in the north end of the city where a male had flooded his room by pulling the sink and toilet from their bases. Investigation revealed the male has caused significant damage to the room by smashing holes in the walls and ceiling.

A 32-year-old Guelph male is charged with mischief over $5,000 and breaching probation. He was held for a bail hearing Wednesday.
