A Guelph woman faces charges after a west-end apartment building was evacuated Thursday due to a false fire alarm.
Shortly before 3 p.m., a resident of the apartment building attended another unit and began banging on the door with a fire extinguisher. She then discharged the extinguisher in the hallway, setting off the building’s fire alarms and prompting a significant response from the Guelph Fire Department.
A 35-year-old Guelph woman is charged with mischief under $5,000, making a false alarm of fire and failing to comply with an undertaking. She was held for a bail hearing Friday.
