The Guelph Police Service wants to remind all drivers that wet, cold and snowy roads have an impact on how you should drive, especially with respect to your speed. Please do not drive over the posted limits and allow for more time to reach your destinations, give yourself a greater following distance with other cars to allow yourselves to stop safely and invest in winter-rated tires that have been shown to reduce stopping distances and provide more traction in winter conditions.

We all have apart to play with the safety on our roads and it starts with recognizing the driving habits need to change with the season as well as being patient and respectful of other drivers.
