Guelph Police responded to 196 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Break, enter and theft of jewelry
Sometime between July 22 and July 28, 2019, a residence on the west end of the city was entered. A safe containing numerous pieces of jewelry valued at over $10,000 was stolen.

Park vandalized with graffiti
Sometime over the night of July 28, 2019, a park on the east end of the city was vandalized. Numerous pieces of graffiti were painted in the area of parking lot and on a building with washrooms and change rooms. The graffiti contained several racial slurs.

Male sprayed with bear spray
On the evening of July 28, 2019, a male walking in the downtown area of the city was sprayed with bear spray. The male was treated by paramedics.
