Guelph Police responded to 676 calls for service over the weekend

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Male faces multiple charges
On June 8, 2019, Guelph Police were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the area of Willow Road and Bagot Street. The black Infinity had taken off from police earlier in the day. The vehicle had stolen licence plates attached to it. A 19-year-old Guelph male was arrested for two counts of possession of stolen property and breach of recognizance. He will appear in bail court today.

Impaired arrest
On June 8, 2019, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a Mercedes Benz sedan being operated in a suspicious manner was observed in the area of Silvercreek Parkway South and Waterloo Ave. Guelph Police conducted a stop and as a result the 27-year-old Kitchener male was arrested for impaired operation and drive over 80. He will appear in court on June 21, 2019.

There were 676 calls for service from Friday, June 7 at 7 a.m., to today at 7 a.m.
