Guelph Police responded to 161 calls for service

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:  

Female arrested after shoplifting spree
Early on the afternoon of Nov. 10, 2019, a loss prevention officer observed an adult female [allegedly] shoplifting at a store located in the Stone Road Mall of the City of Guelph. Police attended the scene and arrested the female. Further investigation revealed that her vehicle parked outside the mall contained numerous pieces of stolen property.

A 61-year-old Guelph female has been charged with:
    •    Theft under $5,000 x5
    •    Possess property obtained by crime x2
    •    Breach probation

She will appear in court on Dec. 27, 2019.

Passports stolen during theft from vehicle
Approximately three weeks ago, a motor vehicle parked at a residence located in the south end of the City of Guelph was entered. Two passports were taken.

The Guelph Police Service would like to remind the public to please lock your vehicles and keep your valuables out of sight.

Multiple license plates stolen
Some time over night on Nov. 8, 2019, the rear license plate of a vehicle parked at a residence located on the north end of the City of Guelph was stolen.

Some time over night on Nov. 9, 2019, the front license plate of a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence located on the west end of the City of Guelph was stolen.
