Minor injuries suffered in three-vehicle collision

The following news releases were issued today by the Guelph Police Service:

Collision
On Sept. 15, 2019 at approximately 2:30 p.m., Police responded to a collision at the intersection of Edinburgh Road South and Water Street in the city of Guelph involving three motor vehicles.

As a result of the incident, one of the drivers was transported to the Guelph General Hospital with minor injuries and the responsible driver was subsequently charged with an HTA offence- Turn not in safety 142(1).

Domestic charges
On Sept. 15, 2019, Police attended to an address located on Auden Road in relation to a domestic incident. As a result of the incident, a 29-year-old Guelph male was arrested for the following charges; assault, mischief under $5,000, utter threats to cause death or bodily harm and three counts of breach of probation.

The accused was further held for a bail hearing at the Guelph Police Service.

Theft
On Sept. 15, 2019 at approximately 5:12 p.m., a 25-year-old Guelph male entered a local restaurant business on Wellington Road East, [allegedly] stole the victims car keys that were left on the counter by mistake and exited the establishment shortly there after.

On Sept. 16, 2019, the accused was located by Police and arrested for the following charges; theft under $5,000 and breach probation. The accused was subsequently released on a Promise to Appear.
