Motorcyclist accused of driving more than 50km/h over speed limit

On Aug. 13, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 between Guelph and Fergus. The officer observed a black motorcycle travelling above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 130 km/h.

Heinrich P. Mell, 54-years-old of Arthur has been charged with race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on Oct. 16, 2019. The accused's driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
