Motorcyclist charged with racing

Motorcycle was locked on radar at approximately 114 km/h in a 60 km/h zone
speeding highway

NICHOL TOWNSHIP - On May 12, 2017 at approximately 7:50 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Guelph Street near Second Line, Nichol Township. 

The officer observed a male driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The motorcycle was locked on radar at approximately 114 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.

48-year-old Paul Tosh of Fergus has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on June 21, 2017.

His driver's licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
