Motorcyclist seriously injured in Woodlawn Road crash

On July 2, 2019 at approximately 2:50 p.m., a 29-year-old Guelph male was operating a black Suzuki motorcycle travelling west bound on Woodlawn Road West between Imperial Road North and Elmira Road North in the City of Guelph. The motorcycle collided with a motor vehicle while the vehicle was exiting a private drive and entered onto the roadway.

The male was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered serious head injuries. He was treated at the scene by Guelph Wellington Paramedics Services and transported to the Guelph General Hospital. The patient was later transported to a trauma centre in serious condition. The roadway was closed for some time as members of the Guelph Police Traffic Unit reconstructed the collision scene. The investigation continues.
