Naked fountain swimmer accused of exposing himself

On July 2, 2018 at approximately 5:23 a.m., Guelph Police Bike Patrol were called to a fountain located on Wyndham Street North and Quebec Street for reports of a male bathing in the fountain. The male was cautioned and left the area. At approximately 8:20 a.m., the male was located again in the fountain, swimming completely naked. The male was asked to exit the fountain and proceeded to stand up, exposing himself. The male was cautioned again and sent on his way. Police then received multiple reports of the male displaying threatening behaviour, screaming and yelling at citizens.

As a result, a 44-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with indecent act and cause of disturbance. He was held for a bail hearing.

On July 2, 2018 at approximately 11:17 a.m., Guelph Police Bike Patrol were called to a public building on Norfolk Street for a report of a male masturbating. As a result, a 19-year-old Guelph male was arrested and charged with indecent act. He is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17, 2018.

On July 1, 2018 at approximately 11:40 a.m., Guelph Police were called to a business on Carden Street for a report of a male exposing himself. It was unknown if the exposure was intentional or accidental, resulting in insufficient evidence to proceed with charges.
