NEWS RELEASE

GUELPH POLICE SERVICE

*************************

The Guelph Police Service is proud to announce more options being added to our online reporting system. As of May 1, 2021, citizens of Guelph can use our Coplogic online reporting tool to report certain fraud-related incidents to the police. Citizens will be able to report the following:

  • Identity theft or fraud
  • Credit card fraud
  • Internet fraud
  • Personal fraud

There are some restrictions to the new online reporting system to ensure we can provide the best service possible. For the above incidents, the following criteria must also be met:

  • The suspect is unknown and there is no video or photos available (a phone number, email address or IP address are not sufficient suspect information to identify)
  • The fraud is less than $25,000
  • The victim resides in the City of Guelph

Online reporting can be found at www.guelphpolice.ca, under the “I Want To” tab, then select “Report” then “Non-Emergency.” If you are the victim of a fraud and it does not meet these parameters, please contact the Guelph Police at 519-824-1212 ex.t 0, and speak with a police dispatcher to further assist.
