One driver involved two crashes in six minutes, police say

On Dec. 12, 2018 at approximately 3:21 a.m., Guelph Police were called to the intersection of Imperial Road and Speedvale Avenue in regard to a motor vehicle collision. The responsible vehicle hit another vehicle as well as a traffic standard, and drove away.

Then, at approximately 3:27 a.m., Guelph Police received another call about a three vehicle collision at the intersection of Imperial Road and Willow Road. The driver from the previous collision was involved in this one as well. This time, his vehicle was not drivable.

As a result of the investigation, Brayden Halayko, a 22-year-old Guelph male was arrested for dangerous driving, dangerous driving cause bodily harm, fail to remain, G1 driver - drive with no accompanied driver, drive suspended, and red light fail to stop.

Halayko is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2019.
