Ongoing neighbour dispute leads to charges

Police say a patio door was smashed and threats allegedly uttered

A Guelph man was arrested Thursday night after what police say was an ongoing neighbour dispute that excalated.

Approximately 7 p.m. police were called to a residence on Paisley Road near Elmira Road South. The caller advised his neighbour had just smashed his patio door and uttered a death threat. There is a long history of disputes between the two, police report.

Officers arrived a short time later and were met outside by the suspect, who was arrested. A 60-year-old man is charged with mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats.
