OPP charge PSW at area long-term care home with voyeurism

Reports allege the 22-year-old Cambridge woman had taken intimate images of a vulnerable resident

TOWNSHIP OF GUELPH/ERAMOSA – On Sept. 7, 2021, Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) commenced an investigation in regards to allegations of inappropriate behaviour at a long term care home in Guelph/Eramosa Township. Reports alleged that a Personal Support Worker (P.S.W.) had taken intimate images of a vulnerable resident.

As a result of the investigation, Kyla Elizabeth Skjonsby, 22-years-old of Cambridge, has been charged with Voyeurism and Distribute Voyeurism Material. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice - Guelph on Oct. 29, 2021.

The Ministry of Long Term Care has been notified. The accused is no longer an employee of the long term care home.
