OPP locate stolen Bobcat in Mapleton

TOWNSHIP OF MAPLETON – On Nov. 5, 2020 at approximately 10 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a theft report from an address on Wellington Road 10 in Moorefield.

It was reported that sometime within the last 24 hours unknown suspect/s stole the complainant's Bobcat 2400 from his feed mill.

The value of the theft was approximately $10,000. 

Officers learned that the Bobcat had been recovered inoperable and abandoned in the middle of Concession 14 during the night.

Police are thankful that this brazen act did not result in a serious motor collision.
