OPP looking to confirm person's safety

On Dec. 1, at approximately 4:45 p.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a person in possible distress on Jones Baseline, north of Guelph/Nichol Townline.

It was reported that a pedestrian, who was not dressed for the weather, was on the roadway. When the individual was asked if they needed help, they fled into a wooded area.

The individual was described as a female, Asian, 40-years-old, with shoulder length brown and blonde hair, wearing a burgundy coat, grey pants, and beige earmuffs.  

Police are looking to confirm the safety of this individual and asking anyone with information related to this occurrence to call Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
