WELLINGTON NORTH TOWNSHIP – The Ontario Provincial Police are investigating an assault alleged to have taken place on Friday.
At around 10:30 p.m., the Wellington County OPP responded to a report of an assault on Main Street South in Wellington North Township.
Reports indicated one person received minor injuries after they were assaulted with a weapon.
Following an investigation a Guelph man was charged with assault with a weapon and breach of recognizance.
