Owner wakes up to sound of pickup being stolen

Guelph police are investigating after a downtown resident was awakened Thursday by the sound of his pickup being stolen.

Police report that just before 5 a.m. a male reported his black 2011 GMC Sierra had just been stolen from a driveway on Ontario Street near Arthur Street South. The owner and his girlfriend were wakened by the truck starting and looked outside to find it gone. It is believed a key was left inside.
