An Oakville man faces criminal charges following an altercation in Guelph during St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

Approximately 10:20 p.m. March 18, paramedics were dispatched to an address on Chancellor’s Way where they located a man with obvious head injuries believed to have been sustained in a fall.

While receiving medical care the male became belligerent, threatening two paramedics and flailing his fists around striking them in the arms. The male was transported to hospital where he received medical treatment. Neither victim required medical attention.

An 18-year-old Oakville man turned himself in Monday and is charged with two counts each of assault and uttering threats.
