Pizza delivery guy knocked out in fight with cyclist

Assault - arrest

On October 6, 2016 the Guelph Police investigated the report of an assault.

It is alleged that a man delivering pizzas in his car stopped in front of a Water Street home to make a delivery at 9:10 p.m.

A man on a bicycle stopped next to the car and an argument ensued. The driver then exited his vehicle with the pizza to bring it to the home.

At this point the man on the bike broke the antenna on the car and then started to ride away. The delivery man caught him and a physical fight began.

The cyclist struck the other man until he was unconscious. The injured man was later taken to Guelph General Hospital for treatment.

Police located and arrested the cyclist.

Kevin DeForest, 39 years of Guelph has been charged with aggravated assault and mischief under $5,000. He will appear in court on November 15, 2016.
