A Guelph male wanted in relation to an indecent act earlier this week was arrested Wednesday evening after witnesses reported seeing him smash a vehicle window.

Shortly after 8 p.m. the male was seen in a parking lot on Woolwich Street near Speedvale Avenue West. He approached a motor vehicle and used a hammer to smash the driver’s side window.

The male was located a short time later on Woodlawn Road West and arrested. At the time he was wanted in relation to an indecent act Monday afternoon during which he exposed himself to staff at a Woodlawn Road West business.

A search of the male uncovered the hammer as well as a wallet which had allegedly been stolen from a motor vehicle on Tuesday.

A 27-year-old Guelph male is charged with committing an indecent act, mischief under $5,000, possessing stolen property under $5,000 and breaching probation. He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
