A Guelph male faces a dozen charges after he was arrested Wednesday in connection with several recent investigations.

Police located the male at an address downtown shortly before 1 p.m.

The male was wanted on four different warrants related to incidents in the downtown core. The warrants were issued following an investigation last month at a downtown apartment building during which several weapons and approximately $6,000 worth of controlled substances were seized; a break and enter to the Sleeman Centre; break-ins to two other downtown businesses last week; and the theft last month of an SUV while the owner was volunteering at a social services agency in the downtown.

A 35-year-old Guelph male faces a dozen charges including three counts of break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of breaching probation and several weapons offences.

He was held for a bail hearing Thursday.
