Police called after death threat made at downtown business

It is alleged the accused issued a death threat to the female staff of the establishment and the staff were fearful for their safety

On Feb. 23, 2018, at approximately 1:50 a.m., Guelph police were called to an establishment located downtown Guelph and initiated a threatening investigation. It is alleged a male issued a death threat to the female staff of the establishment and the staff were fearful for their safety.

At 7:56 a.m., Michael Drescher, a 36-year-old Guelph man was arrested and charged with uttering a threat and breaching his probation order. He was given an April 3, 2018 court date.
