A Guelph man faces drug charges after he was arrested early Sunday on outstanding charges.

Approximately 4 a.m. Sunday, officers were parked on Carden Street when they spotted a man known to be wanted on several warrants. The man was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

A search revealed approximately $4,000 worth of suspected fentanyl, a large amount of cannabis, cash and drug paraphernalia.

A 21-year-old Guelph man is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, failing to comply with a release order, failing to attend court and breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
