A male wanted for several crimes was arrested Thursday in a parking lot adjacent to the Guelph Police Headquarters.

An officer on patrol observed the male sitting in a parking lot on Gordon Street near Fountain Street East about 8:50 a.m. Thursday.

A check of police records revealed the 38-year-old Guelph male was wanted for two counts of possessing stolen property, failing to attend court and several charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act. He was arrested and will appear in a Guelph court May 25.
