Police find crystal meth, crack during arrest

Accused was also found in possession of multiple cheque books and bank cards not in her name

On Feb. 16, 2020 at 8:17 a.m., police observed a taxi attend to a residential complex located near the intersection of Silvercreek Parkway North and Paisley Road in the City of Guelph. Police recognized the adult female in the rear of the taxi as being wanted in regards to a previous incident for the charges of:
    •    Possession of stolen property obtained by crime
    •    Unauthorized use of credit card

At 8:20 a.m., the female was arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed a small quantity of crystal methamphetamine, a small quantity of crack cocaine, and multiple cheque books and [bank cards] not in her name.

A 24-year-old Guelph female has been further charged with:
    •    Possession of a controlled substance x2
    •    Possession of stolen property under $5,000

She will appear in court on April 3.
