Police find woman laying in front seat, car window smashed. Impaired charge follows

On March 25, 2018 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Guelph Police were called to a business on Silvercreek Pkwy North where there were reports of a vehicle causing damage to a garbage bin outside of the business. Police spoke to the driver and allege that he was impaired by alcohol. Justin Hawes, a 33-year-old Burlington male, was arrested and charged with impaired driving and over 80. He was given an April 10, 2018 court date.

On March 25, 2018 at approximately 3:30 a.m., Guelph Police officers observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Willow Road and Alma Street North. Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was spoken to and arrest for impaired driving and over 80. Mihreteab Genrekidan, a 34-year-old Guelph male, was given an April, 10, 2018 court date.

On March 23, 2018 at approximately 10:30 p.m., Guelph Police were called about a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot on London Road West. Police located the vehicle and found a female lying down in the front seat of the vehicle, front window smashed and car running. The driver was spoken to and arrested for driving over 80. Jennifer Plunkett, a 24-year-old Acton female, was given an April 6, 2018 court date.
