Police investigating early-morning shooting

Police responded to the shooting, in which a man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, shortly before 2 a.m.

The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a male was shot early Saturday morning.

Approximately 1:55 a.m., the Guelph Police Service responded to a reported shooting in the area of Wellington Street West and the Hanlon Expressway.  An adult male victim was located with a gunshot injury and was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A dark SUV was in the area at the time of the shooting. No arrests have been made, however, the investigation is ongoing at this time. It appears this was a targeted incident.
