Police investigating thefts from two construction sites

Police are investigating the theft of tools from two different construction sites in recent days. It is not known if the thefts are related.

Approximately 9:10 a.m. Monday, police were called to a site in the area of Gordon Street and Clair Road West. A commercial property under construction was entered sometime between Saturday and Monday morning and various tools were stolen, report Guelph police.

A short time later, police were called to a construction site in the area of Woolwich Street and Marilyn Drive. Officers had attended the site approximately 2:30 a.m. after receiving a call from an alarm company, however did not observe anything missing.

When workers arrived around 9:30 a.m. they noticed several power tools and a laptop missing.
