Guelph police are seeking the public’s assistance as it investigates a hit and run collision.

Thursday around 7:30 a.m., officers were called to an address on Algoma Drive near Montana Road. Investigation revealed an unknown motor vehicle left the road, struck a curb, drove across a lawn and narrowly missed a tree before driving back onto the road. A trail of coolant suggested the vehicle turned onto Montana Road, Brant Avenue and then Victoria Road North.

Car parts were located on the lawn and it is suspected the vehicle sustained damage to the front end, possibly in the area of a front tire. It is believed the vehicle is red in colour.
