A Guelph male faces several charges following an investigation into indecent acts at local parks in the summer, say Guelph police.

During a one-week period in August, police received several reports of a nude male at Margaret Greene Park, Exhibition Park and Riverside Park. In some occasions, the male walked toward females while trying to engage them in conversation. At least two of the complainants had young children with them during these interactions.

There were no reports of any physical injuries.

The suspect description and behaviour described by the complainants was similar in all of the incidents. Two of the complainants were able to note information about a vehicle the male was seen entering.

Police launched an investigation which resulted in an arrest Thursday.

A 59-year-old Guelph male is charged with eight counts of committing an indecent act. He will appear in a Guelph court Dec. 17.
