Police on bike patrol make downtown arrest

A search incident to arrest revealed that the male was in possession of a collapsible metal baton and a small amount of crystal meth

On June 8, 2019 police were conducting routine bike patrol in the downtown area, when they observed a male on a bike, with a female on foot.  

Officers recognized this male and were aware that he was on conditions not to be in the company of this female, due to a domestic related incident.

The 20-year-old Guelph male was arrested for failing to comply with undertaking.

A search incident to arrest revealed that the male was in possession of a collapsible metal baton and a small amount of crystal meth. He was charged additionally with carry concealed weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and breach probation.  

He was subsequently held for bail.
