Police on hunt for suspect in Downtown Guelph e-bike jacking

Police say the e-bike is valued at $2,600

Monday at 2:11pm, it was reported to Guelph police that an e-bike robbery had just taken place in the downtown core.

Police say that just after the adult male victim unlocked his e-bike from a bicycle rack, an unknown adult male approached him, pushed him, took the e-bike and fled the area. The victim attempted to follow the male but soon lost sight of him just outside the downtown core.

The male is described as:
- caucasian
- wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and a hat

The e-bike is valued at $2,600 and is described as:
- black with black rims
- lime green writing
- a light on the front
- a flashlight tied to the seat post
- mud-runners on each tire
- water bottle holder attached to the battery
