Police report driver charged after hitting cyclist

A Guelph man sustained minor injuries after he was struck Wednesday while riding his bicycle, report Guelph police.

Emergency services were called at approximately 4:20 p.m. to the intersection of College Avenue West and Edinburgh Road South. Police say driver turning the corner struck the adult cyclist, who was transported to hospital for treatment of a minor leg injury.

The driver of the car, a 28-year-old Kitchener female, was charged with failing to yield.
