Police say man assaulted in Downtown Guelph early Saturday morning

The victim did not require any medical attention, say police

Guelph plice report that on Saturday morning around 12:52 a.m. an adult male victim was standing out front of a business located in the downtown core when an unknown adult male approached him. The unknown male began shouting at the victim, punched him in the face and then walked away.

The victim did not require any medical attention.

Police were notified of the incident and searched the area, but were unable to locate the responsible male.

He is described as Caucasian, 30 years old, heavier build, sporting a beard and wearing a pink button-up shirt and shorts.
