Police are investigating after reports that a vehicle was intentionally damaged by a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

Approximately 11:40 a.m. police say a female stopped her vehicle at Stevenson Street North and Eramosa Road. An unknown man was in the crosswalk when he stopped and slammed both hands down on the hood of the car, causing two small dents. He also kicked the passenger door, causing a large dent.

The motorist told police they pulled into a parking lot to examine the damage when the same man approached and pulled the driver’s door open wide, causing a crease in the door which prevented it from closing properly.

The man is described as white, in his 20s to 40s, average height, scruffy grey beard and wearing a bright yellow hooded jacket, black pants, a backpack and black headphones. He was last seen walking on Eramosa Road toward Meyer Drive.
