Police say woman tried to return merchandise she never purchased

Guelph police report that on Tuesday at 11:25am, an adult female attended to a store located near the intersection of Woodlawn Road West and Woolwich Street. The store’s loss prevention officer observed her select two pieces of merchandise, bring them to the return desk and receive a store credit of $124.01. She was subsequently arrested.

A 38-year-old Guelph female has been charged with Fraud Under $5,000.

She will appear in court on Oct. 29.
