Police seek dash cam footage to help with murder investigation

Guelph police are appealing for witnesses or motorists with dash cameras as it continues to investigate the city’s latest homicide.

Specifically, police wish to speak to anyone who might have been in the area of Carden Street, Macdonell Street, Gordon Street, Wellington Street East or Wyndham Street South between 5 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Monday, July 11.

James Dobbs, 43, of Guelph is charged with second-degree murder after the remains of an adult man were found Wednesday afternoon behind a business located near Wellington Street East and Wyndham Street South. Police believe the two males knew each other and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
