Update: Guelph police tweeted at 11:07 a.m. that the missing youth has been found and is safe

Last seen Thursday morning at his downtown home, police are asking for public assistance to find 10-year-old [name removed].
The youth was last seen at about 8:30 a.m. in the area of Raymond and Bristol streets, police explained in a tweet sent out shortly after 10 a.m.
[Name removed] is described as about 4’ 8” tall with a skinny build, brown hair and braces. He’s believed to be wearing a black winter coat and blue pants, and carrying a blue/orange backpack.
Anyone with information about [name removed] whereabouts is asked to call Guelph Police Service at 519-824-1212.
