The Guelph Police Service would like to speak to witnesses after a child on a bicycle was struck by a car Monday night.

The collision occurred approximately 9 p.m. at the intersection of Gordon Street and Kortright Road East. The driver of the car left afterwards without checking on the 13-year-old boy. He was not injured but his bicycle was damaged.

The car was described as a grey or black two-door sedan. The driver was a white male in his 20s with a heavy build. It is believed witnesses might have made note of the car’s licence plate but the victim did not have that information.

Anyone with information is asked to call Constable Joshua Beecraft at 519-824-1212, ext. 7186, or email him at [email protected].
