Guelph police are seeking information about a dump truck which was involved in a hit and run earlier this month.

On May 5, about 5 p.m., a female was in her motor vehicle on Elizabeth Street at Stevenson Street South when she was hit from behind by a dump truck. The truck hit her vehicle a second time, pushing it out of the way, and then fled the scene. The female was not injured.

The truck is described as possibly a Mac with a white cab. It had cursive writing on the door which the victim believed read ‘RP Trucking.’ Another witness described the truck as having skull pinstriping detail on the hood. It was last seen eastbound on Elizabeth Street from Stevenson Street South.

The truck sustained some front-end damage as pieces of it were left behind.

If anyone has information about the involved dump truck they are asked to call Const. Scott Riche at 519-824-1212, ext. 7478, or email him at [email protected]. Anonymous tips can be left for Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or online at www.csgw.tips.
