Police seize drugs in Kitchener, charge Guelph man with trafficking

On Feb. 11, 2023, at approximately 7:20 a.m., officers on proactive patrol located a stolen vehicle parked in a lot in the area of Weber Street East and Franklin Street North.

The vehicle was reported stolen from a driveway in Kitchener on Feb. 3, 2023.

Police located and arrested two suspects as they exited a business.

Officers seized suspected methamphetamine, hydromorphone, and a prohibited weapon.

As a result of the investigation, a 37-year-old male from Guelph was charged with:

  • Possession of stolen goods over $5,000
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to prohibition order

The male was held for a bail hearing.

A 25-year-old Kitchener female was charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
