Police seize syringes of suspected meth during wanted person arrest

The 23-year-old Guelph resident faces multiple charges

On July 30, 2021, at 12:19 p.m., police found an adult female at a residential complex located near the intersection of York Road and Elizabeth Street in the City of Guelph.

Investigation revealed that she was wanted on a warrant for failing to attend court in regards to the following charges:


  • Theft under $5,000

  • Fail to attend court

  • Fail to re-attend court

She was subsequently arrested.

A search incident to arrest revealed two syringes containing a combined 150 units of methamphetamine.

A 23-year-old Guelph female has been additionally charged with:


  • Possession of a controlled substance

  • Fail ao attend court

She was transported to Guelph Police Service station and held for a bail hearing.

She was subsequently released and will appear in court on Aug. 17.
