Police spot big jar of weed beside driver during traffic stop

TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH - On Friday, Nov. 9, 2018 at approximately 2:29 a.m., Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the male driver of a grey sedan for a Highway Traffic Act violation on Wellington Road 109 near Concession 1. 

While speaking with the male, officers observed a large jar of dried cannabis in plain view within reach of him and he was taken into custody under the Cannabis Act.

Thirty-three-year-old Bradley Baily of Saugeen Shores has been charged with adult possession of over 30 gs of dried cannabis in a public place contrary to the Cannabis Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on Dec. 11, 2018 to answer to the charge.

The driver was also charged with speeding and drive motor vehicle with cannabis readily available.
