Puslinch man charged after fleeing scene of accident

A Puslinch man faces dangerous driving and other charges after fleeing a collision in Guelph Friday evening.

Approximately 6:45 p.m. a woman was slowing for stopped traffic on Speedvale Avenue West at Edinburgh Road North when her car was struck from behind. The other driver then switched lanes, mounted a curb and drove across the grass before fleeing the scene.

Investigation led to the identity of a suspect. Shortly after midnight, police were called for a disturbance outside a Woodlawn Road West business. One of the males involved in a physical altercation was the driver from the earlier hit and run and he was arrested.

A 35-year-old Puslinch man is charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision and driving while suspended.
